  • What Are The Benefits of Being a Code : Bride?

    As a Code : Bride, you receive priority access to our exclusive alterations and bespoke services, giving you peace of mind with guaranteed fitting slots during the busiest bridal seasons. If you also choose to have your alterations done with us, your gown will be safely stored in our secure, climate-controlled space from the moment it arrives until it’s ready for collection. To ensure you look nothing short of flawless, we also provide professional steaming just before your big day, removing the stress of any last-minute preparations.

    Do I Need to Make an Appointment ?

    Yes, we operate on an exclusive appointment-only basis whether that is for the ultimate bridal experience to try dresses on or for our bespoke alterations services. This ensures each bride receives personalised, private attention in a serene environment. This helps us give you the time and space to explore styles, try on wedding dresses, and share your bridal vision comfortably.

    Are Children Allowed?

    Children are welcome, but we recommend considering whether our space is suitable for younger children who might require constant attention. We want your experience to be relaxing for everyone involved.

    Do You Have Parking?

    Yes, there is plenty of private parking available directly outside our bridal shop, clearly marked “Code : Bridal Parking Only,” so your visit is as convenient and stress-free as possible.

    Can I Take Photos?

    Yes, you're more than welcome to take photos during your appointment, whether it's of the wedding dresses, accessories, or the special moments throughout your visit. Capturing your experience can be a helpful part of the decision-making process. If you share any images on social media, be sure to tag us @CodeBridal. If you plan to use them professionally, we kindly ask that you check in with our team first for approval.

    Do You Provide a Gown Storage Service?

    Yes, if you purchase your dress with us and have any bridal alterations here too, we will store your gown safely in our secure, climate-controlled space from the moment it arrives until it is perfectly tailored, so it stays pristine right up to your big day.

    For brides who already have their wedding dress and are coming to us for bespoke alterations only, complimentary storage is included from your first fitting through to your final appointment, with optional pre-fitting storage available for an additional cost. This also applies if you purchase your dress from us, do not require alterations, and would still like us to store it safely until your wedding day.

    Do You Provide a Gown Steaming Service?

    Yes, if you have any form of bridal alterations with us, a professional bridal gown steam will be included into your package, ensuring your dress looks flawless and fresh for your big day.

    If you purchase a wedding dress from us without any alterations, steaming is still available and can be arranged for an additional cost.

    How Long is a Code : Bridal Experience?

    Appointments last up to 120 minutes, providing ample time to explore, try on wedding dresses, and discuss your bridal goals without feeling rushed. This dedicated time ensures a relaxed, memorable experience.

    Do You Offer Plus-Size Bridal Dresses?

    Yes! We celebrate all body shapes and sizes. Our collection includes a range of gowns designed to flatter and fit a variety of figures. Our team can also assist with BESPOKE ALTERATIONS for a perfect fit.

    Do You Offer Modest Wedding Dress Options?

    Absolutely!  Whether for personal preference, cultural traditions, or religious reasons, we understand the importance of modesty and are proud to support it with both style and sensitivity. We offer a selection of bridal dresses that are modest by design, featuring higher necklines, covered backs, and full-length sleeves. Additionally, our in-house BESPOKE ALTERATIONS service means many of our existing styles can be customised to provide the coverage you need without compromising on elegance or beauty. It’s simply a matter of finding the wedding dress you love and we’ll take care of the rest.

    What Should I Bring to My Code : Bridal Experience?

    Feel free to bring along any inspiration, whether that’s saved photos, a Pinterest board, or accessories you already own, as it can really help us understand your vision. We recommend wearing nude or seamless underwear for the best fit and comfort during try-ons. If you already have shoes similar to what you’ll wear on the big day, bringing them can help you visualise the complete look. That said, don’t worry if you haven’t sorted shoes or accessories just yet, many brides secure their wedding dress first and finalise the details later, which is perfectly normal.

    Can I Bring Guests?

    Yes, of course. You’re welcome to bring up to three of your closest family members or friends with you. We know how special this moment is, so it’s worth choosing the people you’d most like by your side for that "yes to the dress” moment.

    If you have more guests who would like to be involved, there will be other lovely opportunities for them to share in the excitement too, such as a follow-up appointment when your dress arrives, or during your bespoke alteration fittings if you have them with us. This way every loved one can be apart of your bridal journey.

    Do You Offer Wedding Dress Styling Advice?

    Absolutely. From choosing the right wedding dress for your body shape to selecting accessories that enhance your look, our team is here to guide you every step of the way. We listen to your ideas and offer professional insights to help you feel confident and beautiful.

    How Long Does It Take to Receive my Dress?

    Most of our bridal gowns are made-to-order and typically take up to 9 months to arrive, depending on the designer. To ensure a seamless and stress-free experience, we recommend beginning your bridal dress search 12 to 24 months before your wedding day. If you know you’ll be requiring extensive bespoke work, such as custom-made jackets, intricate beading or appliqué, or significant structural changes, aim for the longer end of that timeline. This allows ample time for fittings, fine-tuning, and perfecting every detail.

    Can I Rush My Order?

    Yes, many of our wedding dresses can be rush-ordered for an additional fee, with turnaround times as quick as 5 weeks, depending on availability and the specific designer. If you're working with a shorter timeline, we recommend getting in touch with us as soon as possible so we can explore the best options for your schedule.

    Do you offer bridesmaids and mother-of-the-bride dresses?

    At this time, we do not currently stock bridesmaids or mother-of-the-bride dresses. But never say never!

    Do You Offer Bespoke Alteration Service?

    Absolutely. Our in-house signature bespoke alteration services are led by Unjennie and Lauren, with over 30 years of combined experience. From subtle tweaks to  fully bespoke customisations, ensuring your wedding dress fits flawlessly on the big day.

    How Do I Book a Bespoke Alteration Appointment?

    You can easily book your bespoke alterations appointment via our BOOK AN APPOINTMENT page. Simply complete the form with the key details we need about you and the alterations you’d like on your dress. Once we’ve received it, we’ll be in touch via WhatsApp or a quick call, usually within 24 hours, to get you booked in.

    If your gown requires more extensive bespoke work, we’ll arrange either a phone or an in-person consultation so we can explore your full vision and plan for your gown. However you can also book and contact us directly:

    How Long Are Bespoke Alteration Appointments?

    Our bespoke alteration appointments typically last around 60 minutes. This allows us ample time to carefully assess the fit of your wedding dress, discuss your vision, and begin shaping your bridal dress to suit your unique figure and style.

    Can I Bring Guests?

    Yes, we warmly welcome up to 3 guests to accompany you during your fitting appointments. This still ensures your closest loved ones can share in this special part of your journey.

    How Many Fittings Will I Need?

    Typically, 3 - 4 alteration appointments are scheduled over a period of about 10 weeks, beginning with the first fitting around 12 weeks before your wedding and concluding with final adjustments approximately 2 weeks prior, with the second/ third being spaced equally between the both. 

    For bespoke alterations, the timeline is extended to around 24 weeks and usually includes upwards of four fittings: the initial one at 24 weeks before your wedding, the final fitting about 2 weeks before the big day, and the rest evenly spaced between. This schedule ensures ample time for precise, thoughtful adjustments to achieve the perfect fit.

    What Should I Bring to My Appointment?

    Along with your wedding dress (if it wasn’t purchased from us), we recommend bringing your shoes and any accessories you plan to wear on the big day. This helps us ensure your hemline and fit are perfect, while also allowing you to visualise your complete bridal look, right down to the height you'll be standing on when you walk down the aisle

    Do you provide alterations for Bridesmaids and mother-of-the-bride dresses?

    Yes, absolutely! Alterations for bridesmaid dresses, mother of the bride outfits, evening gowns, and other non-bridal garments are usually much more straightforward than wedding dress alterations. As such, they are priced separately from our bespoke bridal alterations, and can be discussed during a phone or in-person consultation.

    We still recommend beginning the process around 12 weeks before the event, allowing time for up to three fittings. This ensures everything is finished to the highest standard with time for any final adjustments.

    (Non-bridal garment alterations are subject to availability and may not be possible during peak spring and summer seasons.)
